Adults
At Christ Church Winchester, we love having a wide span of ages and stages in our congregation. From students arriving in our city to those who have lived in Winchester for decades, there is community to be found here for you.
We encourage every member of our church to join a Small Group as the first port of call for finding community in a larger church. Small Groups gather in-person and online across Winchester to worship, pray, and read the Bible together.
Aged 18-21?
Whether you’re on a gap year, studying at university or working full time, we’d love to welcome you to our student community.
Women
We have lots on offer for the women of CCW! Check the diary to find out about the next women’s event, we love gathering together across the ages to get to know each other (usually over a glass of wine).
Our midweek group for women, Oasis, meets every Monday of term time from 9.45am to 11.30am. It’s a beautiful space for reflection, creativity and friendship. Whilst you’re enjoying coffee and discussion, our fantastic Little Oasis group are available to look after preschool children during the sessions.
Men
We have a whole range of exciting things happening for men, from monthly bible study breakfast groups to evenings out over a meal. To find out more, check the diary.
On the second Saturday of every month, dads and carers of pre-school children from across Winchester gather together for Men Behaving Dadly. They enjoy coffee, pastries and ‘dad time’ whilst their pre-schoolers have a bounce on our bouncy castle. It runs from 9-11am and only costs £3 per dad/carer.
Young Adults
We have a vibrant and fun group of twenties and thirties who love to gather together to eat and get to know each other better. Most of our young adults are in small groups for their discipleship and accountability, but we gather together in a bigger group for social events every so often.

SAGES (Seniors)
Our seniors are called SAGES (Senior Adults - Growing, Engaging and Serving) and this is a space for the over-60s and/or retired. We often meet up for walks, pub lunches, quizzes and Bible study.
We run a monthly ‘Soup Lunch and Games’ for our seniors from 12:30pm - 3pm on the 2nd Thursday of the month. You can sign up via the diary page and we look forward to welcoming you.
Home Communion
One of our ministries to the senior community of Winchester is that we regularly send clergy and lay ministers to visit the housebound. Whether you (or an elderly relative) live independently or in a local residential home we would love to have a good natter, pray together and share bread and wine.
